Cook time- 15 minutes
Ingredient list- 2 cups curd (Dahi)
1 cup gram flour (Besan)
2 glasses of water (Pani)
½ tablespoon turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 tablespoon red chilli powder (laal mirchi powder)
1 tablespoon coriander powder (Dhaniya powder)
2 tablespoon oil (Tel)
¼ tablespoon mustard seed (Sarso k daane)
½ tablespoon cumin seed (Jeera)
¼ tablespoon asafetida (Hing)
½ tablespoon coriander seed (Dhaniya k daane)
2 dry red chilli (Sukhi laal mirchi)
4-5 curry leaves (Kadhi patta)
Salt (Namak) as per taste
Coriander for garnishing
Instruction-
- First, take a bowl and add curd to it.
- Next, mix in some water to create a smooth batter.
- After that, add gram flour to the mixture and stir well, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Now, turn on the gas and place a pan on the stove.
- Add oil to the pan and heat it.
- Once the oil is hot, add asafoetida (hing), cumin seeds (jeera), mustard seeds (rai), dried red chillies, coriander seeds, and curry leaves. Cook these ingredients well. (According to the measurements provided above)

- First, we will wash the rice 2-3 times with clean water.
- Next, we will turn on the gas and place a cooker on the stove.
- Then, we will add the washed rice to the cooker, along with the appropriate amount of water, and close the lid.
- For low-flame cooking, let it cook for 3 whistles; for high-flame, cook for 2 whistles.
- Finally, serve the rice hot with kadhi.
3. Papad-
Papad is beloved by many Indians and enhances meals significantly. Pairing it with a bowl of kadhi chawal brings joy and warmth to dining. There’s something special about enjoying pakoras with kadhi, creating a warm and satisfying meal. Plus, making pakoras is a straightforward process that anyone can try.

Ingredient list- 1 cup gram flour (Besan)
2 glasses of water (Pani)/ as required
½ tablespoon turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 tablespoon red chilli powder (laal mirchi powder)
1 tablespoon coriander powder (Dhaniya powder)
6 tablespoon oil (Tel)
1 tablespoon ajwain (Carom seed)
Salt (Namak) as per taste
Instruction-
- To start, take a bowl and add gram flour (besan) to it.
- Next, incorporate some spices, such as turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, and ajwain. (According to the measurements provided above)
- Mix everything well, then gradually add water to create a batter with a consistency similar to that used for pakoras.
- Now, turn on the gas stove and place a pan on it.
- Pour oil into the pan and let it heat up.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the batter to the pan to fry the pakoras.
- After they are cooked and golden brown, remove them from the oil.
- You can enjoy the pakoras on their own, mix them with kadhi, or serve them as a tasty side dish.
